The passenger is held firmly in place by three safety straps Six wheels allow the attendant to move the passenger over level surfaces quickly and easily Stairway descent requires little operator strength – a 90lb attendant can easily evacuate a 200lb passenger During Descent, a hydraulic governor limits the speed A fail-safe braking system is always engaged and is released by the attendant during descent – this allows the attendant to stop the CD7 on the stairway should the passenger need attending or if an obstruction needs to be cleared from the stairs
